Job Description

Our client, a plus size women's brand based near DTLA, is looking for a Videographer/Video Editor to join their team ASAP for a 1 month contract. Please note, this role may work remote but must be local to the greater LA area.

Responsibilities:

• Videography & Filming: Capture high-quality video footage for social media, brand campaigns, product features, behind-the-scenes moments, and other content types that align with our brand's voice.
• Pre-Production & Planning: Assist in conceptualizing video ideas, storyboarding, and planning shoots. Help ensure all aspects of video production run smoothly, from location scouting to lighting and sound setup and wrap.
• Video Editing & Post Production: Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos that capture attention, maintain brand consistency, and encourage audience interaction. Ensure content meets our creative standards and brand guidelines and craft engaging short form videos with tight turnaround times
• Responsible for all stages of editing, including color grading as needed, sound design, adding graphics, and integrating animations where necessary.
• Organize and manage media; including ingesting raw footage, additional assets, and various exports
• Social Media Content Creation: Develop and produce video content specifically for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). Adapt videos to fit each platform’s unique format and audience.
• Trendy and Creative Editing: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, challenges, and editing styles. Incorporate these trends to create attention-grabbing videos that resonate with online audiences.
• Content Strategy Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and creative team to align video content with brand goals, marketing campaigns, and seasonal initiatives. Will work closely with the lead Videographer and Social Media Content Creator from preproduction to post production to understand video projects requests, requirements, and delivery

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in videography, editing, and content creation, with a strong portfolio
• Proficient in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, CapCut, etc.).
• Experience creating content specifically for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube).
• Strong understanding of social media trends, video formats, and engagement tactics.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Knowledge of lighting, sound, and camera equipment.
• A creative mindset with the ability to adapt to various styles and brand voices.
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Canva) and animation software is a plus.
• Flexible work environment: Ability to work both in-office and remotely on locations, with some in-person collaboration required for filming and team meetings.
• In-office presence: Ability to commute to the office for filming shoots, content planning sessions, and meetings as needed.
