As a Veterinary Clinic Support Assistant, you will be an integral part of our mobile clinic team, delivering vital veterinary services with kindness and precision. We offer thorough training to equip you with essential skills, including animal handling, customer service, and clinic operations. Roles & Responsibilities: Welcome and assist pet owners during their clinic experience, providing top-tier customer service. Safely handle and restrain pets during wellness procedures like vaccinations, nail trims, and microchipping. Prepare and administer vaccines, label, and dispense medications properly. Collect and process blood and fecal samples for laboratory testing. Advise and suggest products and services based on pets’ lifestyles and health needs. Promote microchipping and educate pet parents about the importance of preventative care. Transport company equipment and supplies to and from mobile clinic locations. Work collaboratively with your team to meet clinic objectives safely and efficiently. Essential Functions/Job Duties: Assist with pet wellness procedures under the guidance of licensed veterinary professionals. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including disinfection of clinic spaces and tools. Monitor and manage inventory, including tracking product expiration dates. Operate clinic equipment and digital devices, such as tablets and Bluetooth technology. Foster a safe and respectful clinic environment for animals, their owners, and team members. Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and willingness to drive company vehicles to clinic locations. Reliable transportation to and from work. Availability to work weekends and various weekday shifts, including occasional overnight travel. Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Willingness to work full clinic days (up to 12-14 hours). Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Professional demeanor, punctuality, and strong interpersonal skills. Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in customer service, retail, or animal care is advantageous. Proficiency with tablets and Bluetooth-enabled devices. Strong organizational and communication skills. Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment. Eagerness to educate pet owners about clinic services and products. Physical Requirements: Capability to perform essential job functions while adhering to ADA, FMLA, and other state and federal standards. Ensure regular and punctual attendance in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other regulations. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions as necessary. Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods and assist in handling animals.
