Job Title: System Admin
Location: Orlando, FL(Onsite)
Mode: Contract
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for Windows, Citrix & VMware systems including server and desktop environments, resolving escalated issues, and assisting in the design and implementation of Windows, VMware and Citrix solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum of 7-9 years of experience as Windows, VMware, & Citrix System Administrator
- Proficiency in Windows Server operating system (e.g., 2016, 2019, 2022) and Windows desktop operating system (e.g., Windows 10)
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other Windows infrastructure services
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and task execution.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and end-users.
- Relevant certifications such as MCSA-Windows Server, Azure Administrator Associate certifications are a plus.
- Manage and monitor VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines.
- Assist in the deployment and provisioning of virtual machines, templates, and resources.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as applying patches, updates, and firmware upgrades to keep the environment secure and up to date.
- Proactively monitor system performance, capacity, and resource utilization to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex virtualization related problems and implement effective solutions.
- Respond to incidents and service requests promptly, adhering to defined SLAs.
- Assist in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for virtualized environments.
- Administer Cisco UCS infrastructure including blade/rack mount servers, fabric interconnects.
- Participate in designing and implementing virtualization strategies that align with business requirements.
- Document processes, procedures, and configurations to ensure accurate knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in virtualization and hyperconverged technologies.
- Monitor and maintain Citrix environments (XenApp/XenDesktop/Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops).
- Handle L2 tickets related to Citrix – user session issues, application delivery problems, printing issues, and profile errors.
- Perform daily health checks on Citrix infrastructure and ensure proactive maintenance.
- Work on Citrix Studio and Director to manage and troubleshoot user sessions.
- Support Citrix NetScaler (ADC) – basic configuration and monitoring.
- Perform software/patch updates in Citrix infrastructure under guidance.
- Maintain and manage Citrix profiles using tools like Citrix UPM or FSLogix.
- Coordinate with L3 teams for major incidents or changes.
- Ensure compliance with SLA timelines and accurate documentation of tickets.
- Good hands-on experience with Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop 7.x and above.
- Understanding of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
- Basic understanding of Citrix NetScaler / Citrix ADC.
- Familiarity with Citrix Director, Citrix Studio, and Citrix StoreFront.
- Working knowledge of profile management tools like FSLogix or Citrix UPM.
- Ability to troubleshoot ICA/HDX issues, application publishing problems, and user login issues.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.
- Hands-on experience on Linux would be an added advantage.
