Job Summary: The Spa Director is responsible for overseeing the successful operation, management, leadership and profitability of the spa at The Essex Resort & Spa. This role focuses on ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction, creating an exceptional guest experience, developing a high-performing team and aligning spa operations with the resort’s standards of excellence. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the spa’s profitability and reputation. Identify and respond to industry trends to maintain the spa’s competitive edge. Guest Experience Ensure a world-class guest experience by maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness. Address guest concerns and feedback promptly and professionally. Operations Management Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, inventory management and vendor relations. Ensure compliance with all health, safety and regulatory standards. Team Development Recruit, train, and mentor spa staff, including therapists, estheticians and front desk personnel. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Financial Management Develop and manage budgets, ensuring revenue targets and cost controls are met. Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability. Marketing And Promotion Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns that drive spa traffic. Develop packages, promotions and partnerships to enhance guest appeal. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business management or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 5 years of experience in spa management or a related leadership role. Strong knowledge of spa services, wellness programs and retail operations. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of SpaSoft is a plus.
