Job Summary:

The Senior Director of Strategic Marketing will oversee all marketing and communications involving the organization including the development and implementation of a marketing strategy and a broad and diverse range of business and marketing communications. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Develops and implements a marketing and social media strategy for the corporation that builds and maintains a positive corporate brand.
  • Oversees and produces, from concept to completion, a broad array of digital, video, multimedia and/or print promotional and communication materials for the organization. This includes original promotional content such as articles, news and press releases, email, case studies, blog and social media posts, and other updates on behalf of the organization.
  • Oversees corporate communications/branding in various online and print platforms such as LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, etc. and industry magazines that increase measurable metrics.
  • Presents design ideas and recommendations that drive new client acquisition.
  • Evaluates success of campaigns when completed.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of the corporate website including methods to deliver messaging, ease of navigation, and clarity of information; ensures that all content is current and relevant. 
  • Manages web site visibility, SEO and analytics.
  • Oversees production and publication of company newsletter.
  • Acts as corporate spokesperson and responds to members of the media in a timely manner; composes and distributes press releases as needed.
  • Develops and maintains positive professional relationships with various members of the media.
  • Assists executive leadership in developing presentations, speeches, and other important corporate messages.
  • Ensures that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for brand enhancement.
  • Promotes and attends special events and functions; promotes and reports on corporate milestones and activities such as company goals and projects; new products or services; community service activities; and new hires, promotions, and retirements.
  • Arranges for photography and/or press coverage for special events.
  • Attending trade shows to gain insights and support the sales team.
  • Provides suggestions concerning graphics, clarity, distribution, and press releases to Finance and Accounting departments for preparation of the corporation’s annual report. 
  • Develops, implements, and adheres to communications budget.
  • Develops, composes, distributes, and implements policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications



Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Superior ability to write in a journalistic style that is customary for corporate and external publications.
  • Ability to offer sound media relations advice to senior leadership. 
  • Excellent managerial and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with corporate management, employees, media, and the larger community. 
  • Ability to coordinate efforts of various teams in order to present a coherent message.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • Multiple years of experience in public relations, including supervisory and comprehensive marketing experience required.
  • 5 years Communications/Public Relations, Marketing experience 
  • 5 years Social Media Experience
