Job Description

Overview About Us: Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. stands as one of the nation’s premier independent financial solutions firms, dedicated to empowering independent financial advisors and their clients. At Cambridge, we cultivate an inclusive, dynamic environment that thrives on innovation, collaboration, and growth. Our team is driven by a shared commitment to excellence, fostering a workplace where every individual feels valued, supported, and inspired to succeed. We provide a comprehensive range of flexible solutions across advice, growth, technology, and independence, tailored to meet the unique needs of our advisors. Guided by our core values—integrity, commitment, flexibility, and kindness—we lead with purpose, delivering impactful results for our clients and partners. At Cambridge, we don’t just adapt to change; we shape it. As innovators, problem solvers, and trailblazers, we are redefining what it means to be independent. We are Cambridge. Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Salesforce Administrator with specialized expertise in Marketing Cloud (MC) to join our team. This role requires a distinct skill set compared to traditional Salesforce administration—Marketing Cloud operates on its own platform and tools, utilizing Journey Builder, AMPscript, HTML, CSS , and data-driven automation instead of APEX, validation rules, or flows. As a niche area within the Salesforce ecosystem, true MC experience is essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable building complex, personalized journeys, managing data extensions, supporting campaign execution, and optimizing automations using Marketing Cloud's unique capabilities. In this role, you'll administer and configure the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform—including Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder —while collaborating with marketing and data teams to deliver personalized digital experiences. You’ll manage audience segmentation, troubleshoot issues, maintain integrations with Salesforce CRM, and continuously refine and support marketing campaigns to ensure optimal performance. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative and innovative environment, delivering impactful solutions to meet business and client needs. Why Cambridge? At Cambridge, we believe in building technology that empowers financial professionals to deliver exceptional service. Join a collaborative team focused on innovation, growth, and continuous learning in a dynamic financial services environment. Essential Duties Key Responsibilities: Perform routine administrative tasks such as generating reports, maintaining dashboards, and assisting with regular system audits. Build and maintain custom apps, objects, formula fields, workflows, and custom views under the guidance of senior administrators. Assist in evaluating, documenting, and implementing new development requests in collaboration with stakeholders across the business. Participate in designing and developing business process automations using Salesforce Flow and other declarative tools. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of automation processes that integrate with Salesforce functionalities and external systems. Assist in analyzing business requirements and translating them into efficient and scalable workflow configurations. Support data import efforts using tools like Salesforce Data Loader or DataLoader.io with oversight from senior team members. Help implement data validation rules and quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity in incoming data. Education & Experience The ideal candidate will have an intermediate level of experience in Salesforce administration, including familiarity with Salesforce data management tools and Salesforce platform features. Certificates & Licenses Committment toward the Salesforce Administrator Certification strongly desired Preferred Skills Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000. This range is a good faith estimate of the compensation to be offered for this position based on the ideal candidate’s qualifications, the Company’s operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. The actual pay offered to a specific candidate may vary above or below the stated range. Benefits: Cambridge has competitive benefits and promotes a work/life balance to encourage individual success. Premium benefit package including medical, vision, dental, life and long-term disability insurance Vacation/sick time 401K retirement plan with company matching program Eleven paid holidays You can find more details about our comprehensive benefits package here.
