Distribution company located in Marina del Rey is looking to hire an Outside Sales Representative. Someone who has worked in the plumbing industry with sales experience is ideal. Base pay is $40,000 per year with a 5% commission. Company will provide a $ 400.00 per month car allowance and gas is paid for.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
• Communicates with customers and leads in their territory to identify and understand their product needs; identifies and suggests products to meet those needs.
• Demonstrates the functions and utility of products to customers in their territory based on their needs.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication, training and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
• Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products or enhancements that may be of interest.
• Maintains record of sales activities including calls/emails, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
• Must be able to perform presentations in front of groups of customers, periodically at trade shows.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, email) or related software and be able to learn new programs that interface with the equipment that we sell.
• Clean driving record.
Experience:
• At least three years of related experience required.
• Knowledge of utility locator's, pipe inspection cameras and. Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to travel. Salesman can use their own Truck or SUV (must be able to transport demo equipment in a secure manner) with a car expense. Territory:
