Talent4Health is seeking a local contract Cytotechnologist for a local contract job in Detroit, Michigan.

• 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8 hours, days
• Employment Type: Local Contract

Required Skills & Experience:

• Ability to sit for long periods of time at a microscope.
• Vision Near Acuity: Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
• Depth Perception: Ability to judge distance and space relationships.
• Accommodation: Ability to adjust vision to bring objects into focus.
• Color Vision: Ability to distinguish and identify different colors necessary to perform job functions.

Experience Required

• FNA adequacy experience is a plus

Certification/Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Cytotechnology program
• ThinPrep Imaging Certification – Required
• ThinPrep Processing Certification – Required
• For start dates after May 13, 2025 , candidates must have a 2024 or 2025 proficiency test completed with results available

Skills & Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for PAP smear screening using the ThinPrep Imager
• May also be responsible for:
  • FNA screening
  • Onsite adequacy assessments
