Location Detail: 1250 Silver St Middletown (10168) Position Summary: As a Lead Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in coordinating and delivering evidence-based clinical services. You will lead interdisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence to ethical principles and professional standards. In the absence of the manager, you may assume clinical oversight responsibilities. Main Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments and develop appropriate care plans. Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to evaluate levels of care and risk factors, creating effective discharge plans. Utilize targeted therapeutic interventions based on individualized care plans, adjusting as necessary to meet evolving patient needs. Provide education to patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment adherence. Deliver direct patient care including counseling, crisis intervention, and case management. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements. Support programming activities, including scheduling, utilization review, and staff education. Assist in team leadership responsibilities, from hiring to process improvement initiatives. Supervise social work students, promoting educational development. Contribute to strategic programming to enhance patient outcomes and experiences. Engage in administrative meetings and clinical supervision to foster team collaboration. Qualifications: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field. At least one year of experience in a clinical setting, with licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LADC). Leadership experience with clinical teams is preferred. Valid Driver's License and computer proficiency. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Strong communication skills to build relationships within the organization. Focused on safety for patients, clients, and staff.
