Title:IT Systems Engineer (Subcontract at an NRI Client)

Our client in (area/region) has an immediate need for a (job title).Please note that this is a (contract/contract to hire/direct hire) opportunity with our client and NOT with NRI.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability and optimal performance of mission-critical systems.
• Build, patch, test, and deploy complex systems and enterprise platforms.
• Perform storage and server data backups, data migration, and disaster recovery operations.
• Conduct complex system and application upgrades.
• Document system upgrade and troubleshooting procedures.
• Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery and high availability solutions to meet 24/7/365 operational needs.
• Provide second-level technical support to users, troubleshooting network or platform performance issues.
• Offer after-hours support, including nights and weekends, as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Information and Technology Management.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience in administering and deploying VMware ESX and Citrix XenServer.
• Proficiency in managing On-Prem and Azure Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Failover Clustering, and Office 365 Exchange mail.
• Expertise in managing enterprise SAN/NAS storage platforms such as EMC Unity, VNX, and EMC Isilon Pure.
• Knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery solutions like Networker, Data Domain, Recover Point, SRM, and Veeam.
• Experience with Linux operating system installation, patching, and administration.
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or VMware Certified Professional.

Education/Certification

• Bachelors degree with a minimum of 7 years of System Administration experience, or 10 years of related experience.
