The Fleet Manager oversees the purchasing, repair, maintenance and standardization of all construction equipment and vehicles as well as leads equipment maintenance personnel through effective planning, communication, staffing, implementation and operations.

This year-round, full-time position comes with a strong benefits package including:

Position Overview:

  • Fleet Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of Duininck Minnesota’s fleet, including acquisition, maintenance, scheduling, and disposal of vehicles and equipment.
  • Operational Strategy: Support the development and implementation of fleet strategies that promote efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations.
  • People Leadership & Culture: Lead and develop a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement that aligns with Duininck’s values.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure fleet activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate and oversee preventative maintenance and repair schedules to keep equipment in peak condition and reduce downtime.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage fleet-related expenses within the approved budget, seeking opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
  • Vendor Coordination: Work closely with vendors and service providers to support procurement, repairs, and fleet services—negotiating favorable terms when possible.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate fleet utilization, maintenance trends, and lifecycle costs. Provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Assist in the evaluation and disposition of fleet assets, ensuring optimal timing for replacements and retirements.
