Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Finance Director on an at least 3-year secondment basis. The secondment is expected to begin on June 19, 2025, and will run through June 19, 2028, with the possibility of return to your position upon completion, in accordance with company guidelines.

Role Overview

As the Finance Director, CFO , you will be a key member of the leadership team. This role manages all aspects of the company's financial operations, plays a crucial role in strategic decision-making, and ensures the company's financial health and long-term growth. Responsibilities include overseeing financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for our Battery electrolyte organization.

Responsibilities

  1. Act as the lead financial advisor to the business leadership team, providing financial leadership and driving financial performance.
  2. Oversee all financial aspects of the business operations, ensuring financial health and sustainability during its project stage and beyond.
  3. Establish and set up all financial operations from scratch, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and compliance.
  4. Provide financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making support for key activities such as sales, margin analysis, and profitability analysis per customer and product line.
  5. Conduct commercial deal analysis, including pricing, terms, and value capture.
  6. Develop business cases for new business opportunities and growth.
  7. Support the Sales, Inventory, and Operating Plan (SIOP) process with financial analysis, particularly demand forecasting.
  8. Drive key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
  9. Implement strategies for effective working capital management, including accounts receivable and payable.
  10. Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process and participate in the Strategic Plan (STRAP) process.
  11. Foster a strong internal control environment, focusing on revenue recognition, sales accounting, contract management, and financial reporting.
  12. Support ad hoc analyses related to contracts, royalties, and pricing adjustments.
  13. Monitor budget performance to identify cost optimization and efficiency opportunities.
  14. Oversee capital requests and expenditures, ensuring they stay within budget.
  15. Manage all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems in compliance with GAAP and other regulations.
  16. Maintain internal controls and coordinate audit activities.
  17. Ensure continuous compliance with statutory, regulatory, banking, tax, and other requirements.
