Environmental Director / Civil Engineer

About the Role

A civil engineering firm is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer with environmental expertise to manage projects in land development, transportation, and environmental planning . This role includes overseeing environmental assessments, preparing regulatory documentation, and managing design projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee environmental assessments to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Prepare and review environmental documentation , including impact statements.
• Manage projects to ensure completion on time and within budget.
• Develop engineering designs for roads, bridges, and utilities.
• Oversee land development projects, including site planning and drainage design.
• Design and manage transportation projects , including traffic analysis and roadway planning.
• Work with clients, stakeholders, and teams to deliver successful projects.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on environmental documentation, land development, and transportation .
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards .
• Strong project management and communication skills .
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS .
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one in Minnesota .
