Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Anaheim based, global consumer products manufacturer

Keys:

-Must have strong experience in a medium to large manufacturing company setting ($150M+ at a minimum).

-Great leadership skills and ability to implement change.

-Strong desire to interface and partner with personnel at the plant locations. Experience in a multi-setting environment is highly preferred

The VP of Finance will be responsible for providing the executive leadership team critical analysis and recommendations that will fuel our continued profitable, double-digit growth. Position oversees all financial planning, financial analysis, cost accounting / analysis, forecasting, budgeting, planning & control, monthly financial close and reporting activities for multiple sites .

SUMMARY

High visibility, high impact position that own and drive all budgeting and forecasting processes. Assist in developing the financial acumen of the functional leaders and related teams. Help to turn financial reporting into actionable information for functional and executive leadership. Additionally, responsible for financial oversight, controls, and reporting for the set-up and maintenance of accurate cost and inventory information. In addition, this position will be responsible for ensuring that costs are captured in compliance with Cost Accounting Standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive the annual budgeting process, including development of templates and reporting, creation of the calendar/timeline, communication with functional teams
• Develop and drive the monthly forecasting process, including budgets, income statements and balance sheets
• Create dashboard(s) for management focusing on key weekly/monthly/quarterly indicators
• Develop analytics to assist senior leadership in digesting financial results
• Compile and analyze program financial information and present in a format to meet the requirements of internal and external customers.
• Monitor and manage the inventory balance sheet including reserves, WIP and COGS balances.
• Develop the cycle count policy/process and audit internal performance against the same.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics for material costs and establish material and labor standards.
• Develop integrated financial models for revenue, margins and costs as well as the cash impact to the business,
• Accumulate weekly and monthly financial metrics to monitor company performance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field with 10-15 years relevant manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting and Cost Accounting Standards
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp complex business situations.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, with an ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
• Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to effectively build internal skills.
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
