The Phase Family Learning Center’s mission is to partner with families as their children navigate each “phase” of life through environments that inspire, experiences that engage and interactions that impress. Our model and systems, in conjunction with state licensing, provide the vision and guidelines for operating a licensed childcare center for children from 6 weeks to 14 years old.

Camp Counselors will work under the direction of the School Age Coordinator to supervise young campers and make sure they learn and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. The Camp Counselor will execute a preset curriculum for students 5-14 years old and be responsible for preparation and clean-up of learning spaces. Camp Counselors must be reliable, patient, energetic and able to build relationships with students and parents. This is a full time (40 hours/week), onsite position with a work schedule of 8:00am-5:30pm, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities :

• Execute and lead educational and recreational activities for groups of campers
• Escort and oversee students
• Educate campers through games and explorations
• Set up and maintain equipment and environments
• Ensure all safety rules are followed
• Manage behaviors and discipline (with immediate support from the School Age Coordinator)
• Perform first aid or take care of injuries as needed
• Keep accurate incident logs

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as Camp Counselor or similar role working with students
• Patient and reliable
• Available to work from May 27th through August 1 st
• Affinity for working with groups of school age students
• Strong communicator with groups of students and interpersonally with parents
• Energetic and positive personality
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
• First Aid and CPR-certified preferred
• Clear background check through Georgia Department of Human Resources
